Hugin Bud — Terms of Service

1. About the Application

Hugin Bud is a privately developed artificial intelligence assistant intended exclusively for personal use by its owner and operator, Martin R. (“the operator”).

The application provides AI-powered assistance, information retrieval, productivity features, and automation through authorized integrations with third-party services.

Hugin Bud is not a commercial service and is not offered to the general public.

2. Authorized Access

Access to Hugin Bud is restricted to its authorized operator.

The application connects to Google services using OAuth 2.0 authentication. Only permissions approved through the Google authorization process are used. Google account access may be revoked at any time through Google Account settings.

3. Application Functionality

Hugin Bud may assist with managing schedules and calendar events, retrieving information, processing and organizing email, and executing personal productivity automations.

The availability of these features depends on the application’s configuration and authorized integrations.

4. Artificial Intelligence

Hugin Bud uses artificial intelligence to interpret requests and generate responses.

AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Important information and consequential actions should be reviewed by the operator. The application is configured to request the operator’s approval before taking significant actions, such as sending or deleting messages.

5. Third-Party Integrations

Hugin Bud integrates with Google APIs (Gmail and Google Calendar) and with Anthropic’s Claude API for AI processing. These integrations remain subject to their respective service terms, privacy policies, and technical limitations.

Hugin Bud is an independent personal project and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Google or Anthropic.

6. Acceptable Use

The application is used only for the operator’s own personal email and calendar tasks, in compliance with applicable law and the terms of the services it connects to.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Information accessed through Hugin Bud is handled in accordance with the Hugin Bud Privacy Policy, available at on the Privacy Policy page.

Google user data is used only to provide the assistant functionality described in these terms and is not sold or shared with third parties, except as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability

Hugin Bud is an independently maintained personal application. Features and integrations may change or become unavailable as the application evolves, and the operator may stop operating it at any time.

The application is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the application.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated as the application’s functionality or requirements change. The latest version will be available on the Hugin Bud website.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
