Hugin Bud

Hugin Bud is a personal AI assistant, inspired by Odin’s raven Huginn, who flew out each day and returned with news from across the world. In Danish, bud means “messenger.” Rather fitting we think.🐦‍⬛

What it does

Hugin Bud is a private, noncommercial project built for the personal use of its owner. It helps with everyday digital tasks through two Google integrations:

Gmail: reads incoming messages, sorts and summarizes them, flags the important ones, and drafts or sends replies on request.
Google Calendar: adds and updates events based on what it finds in email and on the owner’s requests.

Hugin Bud uses Anthropic’s Claude AI to interpret messages and generate summaries. It requests only the Google permissions it needs, granted through Google’s OAuth authorization, and access can be revoked at any time from Google Account settings.

Built for personal use

Hugin Bud is an independent project. It is not publicly distributed, not offered as a service to other users, and not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Anthropic.
